Ⅰ Colloidal Silica--Foreword 
RongXiang Colloidal Silica is a composition of silicon-dioxide nano-solution with small particles. The particle diameter is between 3.5 and 5.0 mm. It contains some unique physical and chemical characteristics - i.e. the hugely specific surface area, fine particle diameter, electronegative granule, cohesiveness, heat-resistant gelatinizing, etc. Colloidal Silica is widely used in precision casting, the paper industry, etc. RongXiang applies fully automated production and stringent quantity-control procedures to make top quality products. We use technology to control the distribution of silicon dioxide particles in solution, as well as the physical and chemical properties (particle diameter and its distribution, particle constituting shape, coordination number, surface activity, chemical composition, etc.). Ⅲ Brief Application for RS-350A in gel battery industry 
RS-350AG is the colloidal coagulant for water-based battery. The features is as following :
1. It can effectively prevent electrolyte stratification.
2. After gelled, colloid is stronger. The colloid has thixotropy.
3. Colloi can keep a long time. We don't need to change original equiptment.
4. Enhance water retention of battery. So, battery can be used in high temperature environments, and increase its life.
5. For 80Ahr above battery, cycle life would increase to 2.5 times than original one.
6. Just a little colloidal coagulant is enough to reach stable condition. We recommend additive is 5~8% (weight percent) for total weight.

Ⅳ Brief Application Standard of RS-PⅡ, BRS-P, BRS-E types Colloidal Silica In Precision Casting Industry. 
One type of adding resin increases the wet strength and dry speed. The synergy of colloidal silica has nano-degree of organic-non-organic hybrid material.
PⅡ/P/E is usually used in the following sequence: surface layer, second layer, third layer, back layer. Consequently, the quantity of resin will shift from high to low. PⅡ/P/E type of Colloidal Silica is one type of colloidal silica hybrid - it is a new adhesive that contains both merits of being synthesis-organic and non-organically adhesive.
PⅡ/P/E are muliti type Colloidal Silica,it is a kind of adhesive combining organic/inorganic advantages. It is suitable for precision casting applications. When using the P type of colloidal silica, the advantages are as follow:
*Good wet-ability
*Low slurry viscosity
*Short dripping time
*Reduces the quantity of shell layer material
*Shortens the drying time of shell layer
*Improves wet strength
*Decreases the thickness of shell layer
Actual performance result may turn out differently; it depends on the shell layer type, size, and implementation.

Application Suggestions:
a. Stir first before using. For the simplicity of stirring leaf blade activity, please contact our company service department.
b. When soaking the new grout, we suggested not adding water. But you would be required to refill disappeared water moisture from grout tank when necessary.
c. Maintain pH levels between 9.0~10.5.
d. Maintain the fixed powder fluid ratio.
e. The temperature range of grout tank must not over ±3°C; the moistened grout room temperature range must not over ±6°C.
f. The temperature in shell layer dry room needs to be maintained; the relative humidity may be reduced to 20%~60%; the wind speed may be increased to 1.3~2.0 m/s; it eventually reduces the dry time.
g. When using the granulated substance machine and RS-PⅡ/P, the sand particle size must be smaller than 30MESH, so that the strength of attaching will be good.
h. When using pressure cooker, usage of dry steams increases pressure to 5.5bar (80psi) in 10 seconds for completion time; when releasing the pressure, the duration must over 2 minutes long.

Ⅴ Colloidal solution: A Brief Introduction
Colloidal solution of silicic Acid also called Colloidal Silica or Silica Sol.

It is written as xSio2.yH2o and composes into certain salt compounds. Adding the hydrochloric acid to the sodium Silica Solid makes sodium silicate drift away and form sol-gel. It neither turns into pure solution, nor produces crystallinity of precipitate. If electrolyte is added to this sol, it congeals and turns to hydrogel. In order to make silica gel, acid must be added to the sodium silicate to produce the sol. It is easy to form the link of the silicic acid to melt key -si-o-si-o- after the condensation. It will turn into the high polymer and become the sol.

In the colloid disperse system, the dispersed phases are independent from each other. If we use liquid to be the disperser, it usually demonstrates the fluidity. But when the disperser is affected by temperature and becomes solid, it is possible to form the solid sol. It is called Sol-gel because water is the disperser of sol. It is called Organic sol since organism is the disperser of sol; it is called Mist sol since air is the disperser of sol.

The silicon casein has characteristics such as associability, hardenability, friction, attachment, cohesiveness, hygroscopic without charged, thermostability and colloidization, etc. It is already applied to many kinds of products in industries. It may freeze to colloidization and be unable to recover the characteristic at 0°C.

It is common to load in the barrels of plastic, or stored in barrel of stainless steel.

Ⅵ Silica Sol Application
Silica Sol relies on these characteristics: superior high temperature stability, cohesiveness, being larger than the specific surface area, etc. It can be widely applied to many industries.
Precision casting: Silica Sol RS-PⅡ,RS-P,RS-E a kind of addition-resin. In precision casting industries, it is often treated as high quality adhesive. If used in huge quantities, it makes the shell mold with high intensity in high temperatures, producing smoothness, size precision, etc. About 60% of Silica Sol produced in our company applies to this industry. Our common products are RS-30/RS-30S and the quick-drying FS-30A/FS-25B Silica Sol. The precision casting special-purpose Silica Sol produced in our company divides into surface layer RS-30S and the back layer RS-30 Silica Sol. The surface area of each particle size per layer in Silica Sol is smaller. It is advantageous to enhance the pulp of the powder fluid ratio and compactness. It also can effectively enhance the quality of casting surface while the particle size of back layer's Silica Sol is slightly bigger. After being measured by experts, the intensity performance under high temperatures is greater than the products produced from other companies within the country. They are similar to the products produced from American Nyacol, and Japanese Nisson.
Gel battery: Colloidal Silica is the colloidal coagulant for water-based battery. The life of gel batter is longer than lead-acid battery.
Fire-proof material: Silicate fireproof textile fiber takes Silica Sol as its main raw material. Due to its remarkable energy conservation and heat resistant properties, it is often treated as heat insulation material. It is widely used in hot working equipment and industrial stoves. Other fire-proof materials made by cement which are produced by Silica Sol have a lot of advantages: it enhances the operational performance because it will not lead to low melting point gasification. Also, it has some advantages such as the high drawing of patterns intensity, stable high temperature quality, anti-high temperature, anti-shake performance and so on. Besides acid-resistant cement or the ceramics processed by Silica Sol, they make chemical equipment acid-proof. They can prevent the acid seepage and withstand high pressures. The most commonly used product is the NS ammonium series product.
Coating: It takes Colloidal Silica as main ingredient and synthesizes the butterfat fluid (for example: stupid third emulsion, acetic acid vinyl resin emulsion) as assistance, adding pigment and padding. The surface coating of the compound wall is made by the chemical additive compound. It has unique properties like being water resistant, fire proof, scrub-proof and pollution-resistant. Over the years, it has established itself as the best construction coating materials. The mixture configuration of Colloidal and the fire resistant powder, especially when casting a steel ingot, may prevent the steel molten from melting and attaching with the plate attrition. Generally, the product is an improvement from potassium product series.
Glass fiber: The glass fiber surface layer usually is very smooth. Its affinity to water, during the resin processing, is usually unable to combine closely, thereby causing the resin to flake. At this moment, if RS Silica Sol is added, it may cause the textile fiber surface to be uneven. Therefore it helps to avoid the above stated procedure.
Fiber industry: Using Silica Sol and the unrefined oil to deal with wool may improve the use of wool weaving, reduce beheads, prevent fly, and enhance the superior product percentage. If used in reel thread gel, it can enhance the adhesive power of pulp, makes it easy to remove pulp, shortens the drying time, etc. If added to the resin fiber, it may help to prevent the yarn from skidding and reinforces the strength and dry feature of fabric; it also helps to control the fabric brightness. Moreover, Silica Sol can also be widely used in various kind of fabrics, regardless of whether it is textile or knit fabric goods, Nylon, viscose textile fiber, cellulose acetate, poly fat, polypropylene fabric goods etc - these fabrics will have advantages like lighting reduction, smoothness prevention, rub-proofing, wash-ability, pollution-free, static electricity proofing and so on. Generally, the product is an improvement from potassium product series.
Paper industry: The cellophane and the thin plastic film easily become sticky during summer time. If mixed with Silica Sol and single glyceride oil, this problem can easily be resolved. Light-sensitive paper intermixed by Silica Sol, together with light-sensitive liquid, can smoothen the paper surface, brighten the images, and broaden the scope of light exposure. Used on the surface of heliographic paper, manifold paper and rubber printing paper coating, it can smoothen the paper surface, make the images clear, and increase the contrast of the gradient. The kraft paper and the corrugated paper surface processed by Silica Sol may enhance paper smooth prevention, reduce the skidding during the transportation and storage, it also enhances water-resistance of the paper and its intensity. In the non-carbon paper manufacturing process, using Silica Sol, instead of clay soil or talcum powder or carbon dioxide powder as coating, brightens its luster. When spreading the Silica Sol on the top of electronic machine card, it can provide greater stability, better smoothness-proofing as well as enhances the quality of printing. Generally, the most commonly used product is GS product series.
Food profession: Due to Silica Sol having a bigger specific surface area with non-toxic and non-side effect features, it can be used as a clarifying agent in industries such as soft drink, beer, soy sauce, providing an outstanding effect. AS acidic series product is a conventionally-used product.
Catalyst Industry: By using a bigger specific surface area and being sensitive to Silica Sol, it can be used as catalyst carrier. For example, the ES-40 Silica Sol has been used in the production of propylene catalyst carrier; it may also become artificial zeolite.
Wax product: When Silica Sol mixed with the floor wax, it does not lose its wax characteristics, but increases its smoothness prevention.
Others: Silica Sol here is used more as purifying agents, pipe dispersing agents, semiconductor elements in polishes, and also used in the battery industry, carbon product processor, for weaving/mounting decorating material and foam rubber enhancement, etc.
Storing: *Avoid exposure to the sun and keep it out of high temperature surroundings.
*The vessel must sealed properly to prevent water dispersant.
*Avoid freezing it and do not store in any temperature under 0ºC.
